Our story
A family harbour, by the sea for over thirty years
The Crusco family has been welcoming guests on the beach of Castrocucco di Maratea for more than thirty years. This is where Luigi Crusco built, season after season, a place to stop and face the sea.
For the past seven years that place has been called “L'Approdo – il ristorante in riva al mare” (the restaurant on the shore). Today his daughters carry it forward with the same care and hospitality: honest seafood cooking, the terrace overlooking the beach and the sunset over the coast of Maratea.

An approdo is the spot on the coast where boats touch land. That is exactly where we are. So, by reservation, we bring your table right to the shore: feet near the water, the breeze on your face, the sun going down behind the waves.
It is not just a dinner. It is the best spot on the coast, and we keep it for a few.

Do I need to book?
You can come without a reservation, but we recommend booking your table online or on WhatsApp.
How does the table on the sand work?
The table on the sand is available by reservation only, with a supplement. Message us on WhatsApp for availability.
Is the menu always the same?
No, the menu changes every day depending on what is available.
Can I order raw seafood or a large whole fish?
Yes, on request we prepare a raw seafood platter and large whole fish, such as big sea bass and sea bream for larger tables. Please order by the day before.
Is there a children's menu?
Yes, there is always a children's menu.
Is there parking?
Yes, parking is free.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome.

Where are you and what are your opening hours?
We are on the beach of Castrocucco di Maratea (PZ), inside the L'Approdo Due beach club. Open June to October, for lunch from 12:00 to 14:30 and dinner from 20:00 to 22:00.
